    Welcome packet

    Welcome, Northshore Coffee Co.

Thanks for choosing me for your new logo. This page explains how we’ll work together, so you always know what’s next and what I need from you.

    Your project

    your new logo

    • Three logo concepts to choose from
    • Your final logo and its variations
    • Files for web and print, in color and in black and white

    Starts Nov 4 · Finishes Dec 4

    How we’ll work

    1. Nov 4–6

      Kickoff and brief

A call about your business, your customers, and what the logo needs to do.

    2. Nov 9–13

      Concepts

Three directions to choose from, each with a short note on the thinking.

    3. Nov 16–27

      Refinement

Your favorite, refined together, round by round.

    4. Nov 30 – Dec 4

      Final files

Your logo in every format you need, for web and print.

    Giving feedback

Your feedback shapes the design. A few things help me get it just right:

    1. Start with your first impression. How the whole design feels, as your customers might see it, is often the most helpful thing to hear.
    2. Show me where you mean. A comment pinned to the spot, or a screenshot with an arrow, helps me find it straight away.
    3. Tell me what’s not quite working, and why. You don’t need the fix; that part’s my job. “It feels a little playful for our customers” gives me plenty to work with.
    4. If others are weighing in, it helps to gather everyone’s thoughts into one reply, so nothing gets missed.
    5. If you can, reply within 3 working days. It keeps the dates above on track.
    6. When you’re happy with a design, approve it, and we’ll move on to the next step together.

Your project includes 2 rounds of changes. If you’d like more, extra rounds are billed separately.

    What I need from you

    • Your current logo, if you have one
    • Logos you like, and ones you don’t
    • A few words on your business and customers
    • One person who gives feedback and approves

    Paying

A 50% deposit books your start date. The rest is due 14 days after the final invoice. Final files are delivered once the final invoice is paid.

    Staying in touch

Email me at maya@mayalane.studio. I reply within one working day. I work Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 ET.

    Made by Basefile

Then give them one place for the whole project.

    1. One link for your client

It opens their project, with no account and no password.

    2. Feedback on the spot

They pin comments right on the design.

    3. A clear yes

They approve or request changes, and Basefile notes who, when, and which version.

    Good to know

What to put in a client welcome packet

    1. A welcome

A line or two in your own voice. It sets the tone for the whole project.

    2. The project

What’s included, and when it starts and finishes, so nobody’s guessing.

    3. Your process

Each step with its dates. Clients relax when they can see what’s next.

    4. How to give feedback

The biggest time saver: clear feedback means fewer rounds.

    5. What you need from them

Files, content, and access, asked for up front instead of halfway through.

    6. Paying

The deposit, due dates, and when final files arrive, said once and kindly, before it matters.

    7. Staying in touch

How to reach you, and how soon you reply. It heads off “just checking in” emails.

    Questions

    Questions about welcome packets

Can’t find your answer? Contact us.

What is a client welcome packet?

A short document you send a new client before the work starts. It explains how the project will run, what you need from them, how to give feedback, and how paying works.

What should a client welcome packet include?

A welcome, the project and its dates, your steps, how to give feedback, what you need from the client, how paying works, and how to reach you. This tool puts all seven on one page.

    When should I send it?

After the contract is signed and the deposit is paid, and before kickoff. It’s your client’s guide to the weeks ahead.

    Does it replace a contract?

No. Your contract sets the legal terms. The welcome packet explains, in plain words, how working together goes.

Is this welcome packet template free?

Yes. There’s no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many you make.

    Where is my packet stored?

Only in your browser, on this device, so it’s there when you come back. What you type is never sent to Basefile or anyone else. To remove it, use “Clear saved details” under the form.

    Can I add my logo?

Yes. Choose a PNG, JPEG, or SVG under You. If you’ve used our invoice generator on this device, one click brings in your name and logo.

Can I send it in an email?

Yes. Copy as email copies the packet as plain text, ready to paste into a new email. Or attach the PDF.
